Colour of the Month: Frost

Colour of the Month: Frost

On the way to work or school this morning, you may have noticed that the grass, roads and trees had been delicately decorated with frost overnight. Whilst this is a sure sign that winter is coming, it’s hard not to admire the beauty of the scene. The sparkling white and blue tones reflect the light of the winter sun to create a view worth getting up early for.

This is why frost is our colour of the month for November.

A dab of white eyeliner and eyeshadow is a great way to make your eyes look awake and ready to face the season. Pale blue also makes for a fresh makeup look, and particularly makes brown eyes stand out as the two colours oppose each other on the colour wheel. As these eye makeup colours make such a statement, we recommend pairing them with a pale nude lip.

Add a touch of frost to your fingers without having to wear gloves! We love this icy nail art at Q61 and would love to create something similar in our salon. Glitter in particular creates a frosty effect and the different shades of blue feel very wintry.

Draping yourself in layers of white and blue can make you feel like an elegant frost queen, but there are also more casual options! Frosty shades can create flirty, fun and cute clothing so try adding some to your own wardrobe.
